A space centred on your safety
The impact of sexual abuse or rape can appear in many ways, including anxiety, shame, numbness, flashbacks, difficulties with trust, intimacy or feeling at home in your own body. You will never be required to describe events in detail before you are ready.
Choice matters
Experiences of abuse involve a loss of choice and control. Counselling should not repeat that experience. You decide what we discuss, when we pause and what feels useful. My role is to listen, believe and work alongside you without judgement.
Moving at your pace
Healing is not linear and there is no timetable you should follow. We can focus on stabilisation, present-day relationships, boundaries, grief, anger or whatever feels most important now.
