When food becomes emotionally complicated
Eating difficulties can affect every part of life: how you see your body, how safe you feel with other people, how you manage emotion and how much space your thoughts take up. You may be living with restriction, bingeing, purging, compulsive exercise or a relationship with food that feels confusing and exhausting.
Understanding what sits underneath
Our work is not about judgement or simply telling you what to eat. Together we can gently explore what the eating difficulty may be expressing or protecting, including experiences of control, shame, perfectionism, trauma and self-worth.
Working safely and collaboratively
Counselling can sit alongside appropriate medical, nutritional or specialist support. We will be honest about safety while respecting your autonomy, building trust and moving at a pace that does not feel overwhelming.
